Former Chicago Bear Dave Duerson Dies

Retired Pro Bowl safety Dave Duerson, who played in Super Bowl XX champion Chicago Bears, was found dead at home in Miami. He was 50 years.

Miami-Dade police found the body on Thursday.Cause of death was not known, and was pending the medical examiner's report.

Duerson, who played college football at Notre Dame and graduated in economics, was drafted by Chicago in the third round of the 1983 draft in the NFL. It was an entry for the "Super Bowl Shuffle" team that went 15-1 this season the Bears singing on his way to winning the Super Bowl, and is considered one of the best NFL teams of all time.

Duerson went to four years of consecutive Pro Bowls with the Bears before leaving as a free agent and connects New York Giants, where he won the second Super Bowl in 1990.
